Bucks County currently has 34 groups – 33 in person and 1 virtual only. This total reflects the recently added new group – Hope Dealers – that is meeting on Monday nights in Trevose @ Scottsville UMC. Many of our groups continue to struggle with attendance and 2 of our groups are in jeopardy of closing due to lack of support.
We are submitting 2 checks to the regional treasurer. One check in the amount of $792 to cover the cost of insurance for our 33 in person meetings, and the other check in the amount of $250 as a donation to GPRNA.
We recently have seen our Alt RCM step down, as well as out Unity Chair, and are expecting our PR Chair to resign at the next ASC. Neither unity or PR currently have co-chairs. We have sent the Alt RCM position and unity chair positions out to the groups for nominations. The PR chair position will be sent out after the next ASC. The area is once again struggling to find qualified addicts to serve at the area level. All area positions will go out for nominations in October. Nominations will be qualified @ the November ASC to be voted on in December. Our area service positions will change over in January 2027.
Our unity subcommittee is hosting the annual Labor day picnic @ Tyler State park on Monday 10/7/26. A flyer was submitted to region at the last regional meeting. I have distributed a flyer for our 2nd annual Halloween bingo event. This is a cash bingo event being held on 10/24/26 in Bristol borough. Tickets are $35. Please spread the word as this was a well attended event last year and we expect it to be an even bigger event this year.
